So you've finally taken the plunge and purchased that HDTV you've been craving. The question now is, where are you going put it? Sure, you could just set it on that old bookshelf or table you've had in the corner for years, but why not consider classing things up a bit with a stylish TV stand, an advanced wall mount, or perhaps a specialized lift? As you'll see, there's no shortage of options in this category.

TV Stands: Perfect for uniting your TV and A/V components into one statement piece.

Combining a maple veneer, chrome accents, and frosted glass doors, the OmniMount Glide 60 can support a TV that weighs up to 250 pounds. Omnimount.com

The Bell'O PR32 is a classic-looking TV/equipment rack that includes interchangeable wood, glass, and speaker-cloth door panels. It can accommodate up to a 62-inch TV and four A/V components. Bello.com

The Bell'O FP-3230, available in a black metallic or silver finish, supports a TV up to 32 inches, four A/V components, and a center-channel speaker. Bello.com

Sanus Systems' Natural Series features both horizontal TV stands and matching A/V racks, all constructed of Grade A hardwood, extra-thick tempered glass, and rigid steel hardware. Black, cherry, and mocha finishes are available. Sanus.com

The BDI Aspect is designed for a modest system consisting of a single source component and a flat-panel TV from 20 to 35 inches. Available in black or silver, the Aspect swivels 90 degrees on its base. BDIUSA.com

BDI's Odeon elegantly melds a TV mount, with 30 degrees of swivel, and a low-profile cabinet made of espresso wood. The TV mount can support flat panels from 37 to 55 inches. BDIUSA.com

Fixed Wall Mounts: These mounts lock your TV in one position on the wall.
OmniMount has a wide variety of fixed wall mounts to accommodate many weights and screen sizes. Shown here is the U3 Fixed model for large-screen panels. Omnimount.com

Chief Manufacturing's new Fusion Series of low-profile mounts includes both fixed and tilt models that hold TVs from 26 to 75 inches. Chiefmfg.com

Premier Mounts bills its new WTFM3765 as the world's thinnest mount, measuring just 0.37 inches deep. This fully expandable mount will accommodate flat panels from 37 to 65 inches. Premiermounts.com

Articulating and Tilt Wall Mounts: These mounts allow you to manually tilt the display or even to swing it from side to side (articulating) to aim it where you want it.

Chief Manufacturing's Thinstall Series of tiltable mounts is designed specifically for the new crop of ultra-thin TVs hitting the market. These low-profile mounts collapse to less than 0.75 inches and provide 12 degrees of tilt. Fixed versions are also available. Chiefmfg.com

Sanus' VisionMount LT25 tiltable mount is constructed of lightweight aluminum and supports flat-panel TVs from 30 to 60 inches and up to 175 pounds. Sanus.com

The K4-A1 from K2 Mounts is an articulating mount that offers 15 degrees of tilt and 180 degrees of horizontal adjustment. Available in black or silver, it supports panels that weigh up to 198 pounds and measure 45 to 60 inches. K2mounts.com

Motorized Wall Mounts: These mounts allow you to automatically aim the TV using a remote control system.

The OmniMount Power55 allows you to tilt, pan, and swivel your flat panel with the touch of a button. It can accommodate panels from 37 to 55 inches that weigh up to 110 pounds. Omnimount.com

The Pilot Motion from Salamander Designs responds to remote commands to rotate the TV up to 30 degrees to the left or right. The line includes two wall mounts that support TVs from 13 to 50 inches, as well as a tabletop mount. Salamanderdesigns.com

TV Lifts: With a mechanized lift, you can discreetly encase your TV in a cabinet, ceiling, or other location and have it automatically emerge at the touch of a button.

Install Chief Manufacturing's CM2L40 automated pop-up lift in the cabinet of your choice. It can hold a TV from 32 to 61 inches and travels vertically up to 40 inches. Chiefmfg.com

The K2 Underbed Lift can hide a 50-inch flat-panel TV (as well as source components and speakers) beneath a king-size bed or a 42-inch panel and equipment under a queen-size bed. With the press of a button, the system emerges at the foot of the bed in about 35 seconds. K2mounts.com

Auton Motorized Systems offers a wide assortment of lifts to accommodate TVs of all screen sizes, depths, and weights -- as well as fully customizable cabinetry and add-on lifts for speakers and more. Auton.com

Art Frames: Transform your TV into a work of art by adding a decorative frame that covers your wall mount.

Chief's DFK Series of decorative frames is constructed of pine and available in four colors. The frames are adjustable to fit most bezels, and you can add the optional DFM optical mirror to transform your TV into a mirror when it's not in use. Chiefmfg.com

Vutec's ArtScreen System includes both a hardwood frame and an automated art-on-canvas panel that covers the TV when it's not in use. Choose from a wide variety of art pieces. The ArtScreen is compatible with TVs from 32 to over 65 inches. Vutec.com
